I recently ordered parts for my first PC build but I was wondering if I would have to update my motherboards bios.I checked on gigabytes website and the bios it comes with is F2 , current bios release is at f6e beta version, would I have to download and update the bios before I install my o/s or would just using the default bios version be ok I don't have a CD drive nor does my case have a slot for one so I'm doing this all through Usb. my Operating system is on it also I'm not experienced with computers and this is my first build so any help would be appreciated

Well in the sense that you won't see any performance upgrade, it's not worth it, but since it's so easy nowadays to update it through uefi, just an usb and 2 clicks, I would personally update it. However I would update it to F5, not a fan of beta bios versions.
BIOS is not tied to the OS. According to gigabyte the newer versions provide better compatibility, however I doubt there will be much of a difference, so you don't actually have to update it, but even if you do, it is really easy and you can do it after you install the OS.

So In your opinion would updating the bios to the latest be worth it or should I just use the default version ?
