Hi,

In some of my games I'm getting occasional small fps drops. I'm capable of maintaining 60 fps in these games and I can best describe the drop as a quick drop from 60 fps to 57-58 fps and then returning causing a type of quick drop/skip type thing. The interesting thing is it behaves the same
in all of the games so it doesn't seem to be a particular game type of issue. I was wondering if it might be something to do with the system ram or maybe a v sync issue? I'm really unsure it could be anything I suppose. I would be interested to know what causes it. Thanks.

Solution
You will be able to run the game, at a lower setting probably

Try each stick at a time to see if the stuttering goes away. Thats the best ram test.

I set adaptive vsync for some of the problematic games. At first I thought it might of been the answer but it then happened again. I'm starting to think it might be a bottleneck of some sort.. I have a similar system to you and probably many others so I'm interested to know if anyone else experiences the issue I describe?

I'm pretty sure my card's seated properly but I'll double check. Did you mean to say my card isn't even overclocked? because it is as per system specs posted..

I don't have any replacement ram to try. If I remove one stick I might not enough to run the game + OS, 4 GB..

What sort of problem with the ram do you think it could be? Is there a ram test that could find the problem?
