Your build is reasonable.
Some thoughts:

A GTX960 needs only about a 430w psu, but 500-550w does not cost more and will permit you a future upgrade to a card as good as a GTX970 or gtx980. Possibly pascal.
Corsair CX is not considered to be reliable, but Corsair is good about RMA if there should be a failure.
My suggestion would be a top quality psu from Seasonic or XFX.
Buy a tier 1 or 2 unit from a list such as this:

How about this Seasonic 520w unit? cheaper too.

2. FWIW.
I will never again build without a ssd for the "C" drive. It makes everything you do much quicker.
120gb is minimum, it will hold the os and a handful of games. If you can go 240gb, you may never need a hard drive.

I would defer on the hard drive unless you need to store large files such as video's.
It is easy to add a hard drive later.
Samsung EVO is a good choice.

3.
With your budget, I would use a less expensive i3-6100. The faster 3.7 clock rate will be more helpful in most games.
Few games can use more than 2-3 threads. A true quad is good for multiplayer games, but the i3-6100 will do better in most other games.
Particularly sims, mmo, and strategy games.

4. Tip: Buy yourself a #2 magnetic head Philips screwdriver for assembly.
