My computer has had MANY bluescreen problems, and it has also restarted itself or frozen randomly. I bought new RAM, but everything else in the PC is around 4 years old. I tested each stick alone for 1hour 30minutes and there were no errors. When I woke up today after testing both sticks together for 12 hours it came up with 4 errors on test 5. Does this really mean I need to return the ram fresh out of the package, or could it be another part of the PC that gives problems? The RAM is the G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory. Thanks for any insight you guys can bring. I should also say I don't know a lot about memtest, so I just ran all the default stuff. I just know that more than 1 error means you should return.

I was using the latest version, but I will try to use memtest from memtest.org

The motherboard only has 2 slots, and I don't think i configured my RAM in the BIOS. My motherboard is the F2A55M-HD2 and my CPU is the AMD Athlon(tm) X4 750K Quad Core Processor

The test came back with 0 errors, but I only ran it for 8 hours this time on that different memtest, do you think this is enough to call the sticks fine, or should I try to do another test up to 12 hours like the last one?
It got to 4 passes if that helps at all.

maybe I would think so ? like a lot of folks were failing that hammer test .. thing is its just a program and could have any little bugs that pop up

try once more like at night when your sleeping for another 6-10 hrs and see if it passes 2 times then call it good ??
