I have an Intel Core i7-6700K, with Arctic 7 pro rev 2.
While gaming (Fallout 4 on ultra) im getting a very high temperatures of 70 degrees celsius.
The T case temp of the 6700K is 65 degrees.
I know that the core temps are diffrent the the T case But I am still worried, will it make my CPU hit a wall and wont work to its full potential, and is it dangerous to my CPU? And if it does, what cooler is recomended to buy?
I am using RealTemp to check my CPU temperature and I am on 4.2Ghz.

Solution
It's pretty normal that if your playing on ultra on high demanding games you'll get high temps. If you hit 80C, bring the game settings down. Maybe your cooler is not good enough. The h100i GTX is a good cooler.

If you get above 75 just instantly put the settings down. But I recommend getting a H100I GTX as your current cooler isn't that good (especially for an Intel Core I7 6700K which is being overclocked).

Sorry to revive this thread, but I also have my i7-6700k at 4.2GHz and it's hitting 75 in CS, is this too much? It hit max 78 in Intel Burn Test v2. When I have it on stock it's usually 2 degrees lower. I have a CM Hyper 612 V2 and 1 case fan
