The true answer is both yes and no. It really depends on what games you will be playing. During CPU intensive games (DayZ, Ark Survival, highly physics based games), there could easily be some bottlenecking. During GPU intensive games, there will not be any noticeable bottleneck. You could easily upgrade to an FX-8350 or FX-8320 and resolve this problem.

However, stating that all AMD CPu's bottleneck is incorrect. Being an intel or amd fanboy isn't helpful. Actually take the time to look at the products before writing an answer.

^+1 That's the truth.

Furthermore, I also happen to have the Fx-6300 + r9 290. No issues at 1080p/60fps, or nearly, on ultra with titles like Fallout 4, BF 4, Witcher 3.... etc. Granted there are the occasional frame drops but nothing that will ruin the experience.

Alright, with all the arguing going on in the chat, here it is. Suzuki and Benji are both very very competent people and obviously open their eyes up to both the fact that the card will not be bottlenecked (It will not wait on the CPU to send it information for long periods of time while it isn't doing any work).

While the card will not be bottlenecked, you will not get as much performance from the CPU as you would from a higher end CPU. This may cause your framerate to drop, but as Benji previously said, the pair will have no problems playing the latest games at good settings.
