Transferring dell BTX computer into a non dell BTX case.

If i transfer the guts from a Dell Optiplex 780 SFF into a BTX case that dell didn't make, will it fit? I am aware that I would have to find the diagram for connecting the power button and usb jacks, etc, but that shouldn't be too hard. Basically I want to get a bigger case so I can fit more hard drives in it, and possibly throw an actual graphics card. So can I get an aftermarket case, or should I try to track down a case for the tower sized 780?

Try it.
Take the motherboard out.
Try to put it in the new case.

Does it work?
If yes, you're golden.
If not, oh well.

You have a Dell SFF, apparently a BTX mb, and a whole different case. Will that combination work? You won't know until you try.
