Is the Corsair AX760 overkill for this PC build?

Your system can run with a high quality 500-550 watt PSU. An R9 390X and GTX 980 ti need a 650 watt PSU, so a 760 watt unit is not really overkill when considering future upgrades and the AX760 is capable of 2-way SLI GTX 970 if you consider that an option later on.

I tend to get the best I can afford what may be ''overkill'' today may end up just right for your next upgrade tomorrow- and may save you from having to rebuy [buy once buy right ]
