Hey guys first time poster here, I am looking too upgrade my PC that I purchased from a store. Granted its not some super awesome gaming pc. But it has an integrated GPU which sucks. I am looking at purchasing a new GPU my mobo has 3 PCIE 2.0 slots and the 950 is a 3.0 I know they are backwards compatible. My question is if my CPU can handle such a power house of a card. I know I have to upgrade my PSU from the stock 300W too around 750 or so. My main concern is my CPU. I plan on upgrading the CPU in the near future anyway. I just need something to last me till I can get my new CPU.
Many thanks.

all you need is a good 550w psu, no reason for 750w

your cpu is weak yes, when you can get the best athlon x4 your motherboard supports, and overclock it

I plan on upgrading to the AMD FX-8320 cpu. I have the AAHD3-HB mobo I've been told I could go all the way up to a newer i3 with this mobo. I plan on playing Far Cry 3, BF4, GTA5, some flight simulators and The Escape from Tarkov when it comes out. I just don't know if my CPU will support it.

if you have an A8-3820, then it is impossible for you to get a 8320 or an i3 without changing your motherboard
