Hello guys i have an 8350 with a mother board 990-xa-ud3 and a cooler master seidon, when i open a really heavy game i get around spikes to 70 C and if i turn on prime95 in few seconds push 2C and i stop it when reach 70+... what should i do?
Vcore it's +0.25 no fails on prime just getting too hot...
ZsOmYkH

and optimised bios settings get over 65 and pushing slower but pushing...

Solution
Which coolermaster Seidon? The single-rad or the dual-rad one? Also, Prime95 pushes every part of the CPU to the absolute limit, way beyond what any CPU will realistically see under normal use, thus you get temperatures you won't realistically see.

120 single, but with two vents... Ty for your answer maybe now i'm getting crazy I never monitorizd temperaturas and probably get higer temps, but what I dont know why default rise me temperatures too... I should control they dont rise over 70 true? And why only need 0.025 vcore + for an stable 4.6? I always read +0.125 and I GO there and see random spikes of temperatura in idle
Ty again!

A 120mm AIO for an overclocked 8350 is too weak if you want good temps. If you upgraded to something like a Cryorig A40 or A80 (A40 is 240mm, A80 is 280mm), you'd get the temperatures you want and you could overclock even further (the mentioned coolers have a small extra fan for VRM cooling which would help with OC stability).

As for why you can get 4.6 on +0.025, you probably just got really lucky in the silicon lottery.
