1x 4GB RAM + 1x 2GB RAM = show 4GB RAM Problem

Greetings,

Hey Guys, I have a problem.. Im using Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2 motherboard Window 7 Ultimate 64bit PC.. I have 2 RAM stick 4GB and 2GB both Kingston brand.. My pc start with no problem but its only detect 4GB total RAM instead of 6GB RAM.. So i wanna ask some solution from expert.. Thx in advance.. :)

When both are plugged in can you see both in the BIOS? If no I suspect there is some incomparability, RAM can be awkward and is why it's recommended to buy as a kit and not mixed, even the same make and model can have comparability problems when not bought as a kit

Hoho.. Oh now i know what is the problem.. The RAM is 2GB RAM.. No wonder.. This RAM is suppose to be 2 KIT RAM.. 2GB + 2GB.. Because i buy it from the second hand shop they confuse it of 4GB RAM..
