I am looking to upgrade my gaming rig for upcoming games that could last a a couple of years down the line also. Im loing to run games at 1080p 60fps at medium-high settings.

My current set up is:
Sapphire 2GB 7890 Ghz Edition Crossfire
i5 2500k @ 3.3Ghz
Sabertooth Z77
8GB DDR3 1333Mhz Ram
750 Watt PSU
250GB SSD
1TB HDD

£600 is what im looking to spend, I was hoping that a CPU and GPU wonuld only be needed? But if im wrong could someone tell what I would need

A GPU upgrade, 970 or 390. I wouldn't upgrade CPU as your budget doesn't allow for a decent upgrade and the 2500k is not that bad. If you can hold out for 2-3 months the next gen GPU's should be out

Also try overclocking your CPU of your PSU is decent quality a d you have a good cooler

Reuse the case, PSU and drives and sell off the rest. You'll be able to run high/ultra settings .

I was looking at i5 4960K and a 8GB 390 X for just over £600. But would I be able to just put the CPU into the current mobo?
