Ok ive seen some thread about:
1. Disk read error
2. Operating System not found
3. The current bios setting does not fully support the boot device

And other related topics but I Cant solve it using those solutions. Here is my situation and solution I've tried.

1.Just turn my on pc and got "Disk read error"
2. Restarted several times using ctrl+alt+del and reset button, still nothing
3. Checked BIOS: HDD is not listed
4. Exited BIOS, turn off pc completely, removed plug and hold power button for 15 sec, reconnect the SATA & power cable from HDD, Turn pc on and go directly to bios. HDD is now listed!
5. At this point I have not change anything from bios, so I just save and restarted but Read disk error again, so I go to BIOS and hdd not there again :(

6. I repeated step 4, this time getting the CMOS battery for about 3 min. Checked all the wires/SATA, changed PSU(i have extra), change SATA Cable and SATA slots. I booted and go directly to BIOS again. HDD now listed! After that step 5 happended again

7. Upgraded BIOS still nothing, at this point I came up with the thread title because when I restart using button or ctrlaltdel hdd will be gone but if I completely turn off and boot Hdd is back.

8. Tried using windows 10 installation disk but it cant find any disk at all.

I haven't tried connecting my hdd to other pc yet

My specs
Asus H61M-C
1TB Seagate barracuda
4gb Kingston Hyperx Fury( i use 1 slot only and tried in other slot)
Intel core i3-2100
Windows 10 pro

Is there any chance i can boot again? Plz help :(((

Welcome to the community, Paul!

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it seems like your HDD might have failed. You've done an amazing job with the troubleshooting, though! One last thing you could attempt is plugging the hard drive to a different computer and see if you'd be able to get it properly detected there. If the issue persists, then you should definitely check the warranty status on that drive from the manufacturer's official website. If it's still covered, you should be able to RMA it and get a replacement HDD from their customer support.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
