ASUS STRIX SOAR 7.1 soundcard is compatible with my mother board?

I just want to ask, do I need to worry about that?
I got the right slot for it.
And motherboard is a GIGABYTE GA-H61MA-D2V rev 2.1

Hello... Yes... you can install/use an external Sound card... disable the MB sound chip in the BIO's (save&exit) before trying to install the drivers for it, for trouble free Software install.
