I assembled the following components last night. When I powered it on, I got a 1 Long 2 Short beep error, the case, CPU, and GPU fans powered on, but no signal to the monitor and the keyboard and mouse didn't light up. I finished installing everything after I should have gone to bed, so I didn't troubleshoot at all last night. After doing some googling this morning, it looks like the the error code has to do with a video system failure, but almost all of the associated threads I could find on this forum had to deal with DRAM errors. I can get pictures tonight if need be.

I had a similar issue with an AsRock Mobo that I am in the process of returning after it failed to post after following all of their support instructions. I really hope that it's not user error after all :(

Any ideas?

Solution
Try leaving single RAM module installed. Test each slot. If still same beeps, I suggest testing different RAMs model. It might be a compatibility issue.

I believe I didn't have the ram properly seated. Apparently with some mITX boards you have to be rather firm with it and not just rely on the latch.
