How long will this pc build last? (for music production and some gaming)

Cpu: I7 4790k
Ram: 16gb ddr3
Mobo: Gigabyte GA z97x gaming 3
GPU: Zotac 670 4gb (I get this gpu for free and im not a huge gamer)

This build will most likely last you (without any upgrades) just a little less than 2 years. And I say only 2 because that GPU should be upgraded. More and more programs (not sure which ones you use) are beginning to utilize the GPU. Even something like a gtx 950 will be perfect for a very long time. (Not to say that the 670 is a bad card. Should be good for now.) Aside from that, with the upgraded GPU, you could get 4+ years out of this. The 4790k is a very capable CPU and should last quite a while. If you plan on this being a "forever" rig and you don't want to build a new computer for around 5 or even 6 years, one thing to possibly upgrade would be your RAM. 32 gigs would be more than enough.

Upgrading my gpu in a year or so is not an issue. Thanks for the quick response i think ill go with this build and upgrade in a while:)
