A Microsoft Paint like software that allows your to change key shortcut

I use notebook, so, + and - dont work in paint. Because of that i have dellay changing fonts and eraser size, it have to be manually and its very hard to do that way. If exists some software free like paint, that i can change some commands as + and - to another keys like control or alt, i will be apreciated if someone tells me.

Why doesn't + & - work on your laptop?

This has nothing to do with MS Paint.

It work, but for some reason, the paint dont recognize and i cant change fonts size that way. I tested a numerical keyboard usb( http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j00FCMteirGJQhg/Numeric-Keyboard-TK-N002-.jpg ) and then i pressed the + r- in the numerical keyboard, it worked. But notebook its supose to be portable, i dont want to use gadgets. another possibility i found is to use virtual numerical keyboard on windows, but its not enough for me.

if there was a way to temporarily change the position of the keyboard keys, position using a software probably would be a satisfactory solution for me.
