Ok, so for a while now, i have been having problems with my computer freezing. i currently have a dual monitur setup and the different monitor make different striped colors when the pc freezes. sound continues to play for like 5 seconds and then it somethimes make a silent buzzing noice, or go silent. i usually play csgo and my gpu temp is almost always at 45-50 in csgo so i dont think that would be a issue. I have done Bios update, restored my pc.
PC SCECS:
GPU=AMD RADEON 7970
CPU=amd am3+ fx-8320 125w
PSU= Coolermaster G500, 500w
MOTHERBOARD= ASUS M5A97 R2.0
RAM= KINGSTON ddr3 blu 1600mhz 16gb.
SSD 120gb
and two 1tb hddr hardrives

That PSU is very bad at powering those watt hungry components. AMD CPU's are notorious for being the fat boys of the CPU's and that GPU is very powerful, but extremely power demanding. In other words, your PSU probably can't deliver the demanded power to the GPU, so the mobo automatically shuts down the system to prevent damage. Also let's not forget the other components that also require around 100w. My advice would be to try running on a 750w bronze or higher PSU to see if it'll work.

Then, if the PSU isn't the problem, the GPU might be. Try using it in another PC, if it doesn't work tat means that it's broken. At that point, you can just hope that it's only a cold solder. You'll have to literally try to bake it to melt the solders so that they reconnect to the PCB. I'll just tell you the basics of this: Remove the cooler and all of the plastic parts that you can, protect the unremovable ones with aluminium (except for the chips, in other words, cover the connectors with it), make 4 alluminium balls, pit some foil on a baking plate, and place the GPU on the balls. Heat the thing up slowly to 200C and then cool it down slowly in tue oven. I dont know the exact temp or time this takes. Finally place the cooler back and run furmark to test it.
