I don't know what you mean exactly. The BOOT_DEVICE_LED is on (orange), nothing else

Download the latest version from https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-MAXIMUS-VIII-HERO-ALPHA/HelpDesk_Download/
Unzip and save the .CAP file on a FAT 32 formatted flash drive.
Rename the file from MAXIMUS-VIII-HERO-ALPHA-ASUS-1601.CAP to M8HA.CAP
Make sure that it's not renamed as .CAP.CAP
Connect the flash drive to the USB Flashback port (check the manual http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/MAXIMUS_VIII_HERO_ALPHA/E11194_MAXIMUS_VIII_HERO_ALPHA_UM_V2_WEB.pdf?_ga=1.170947113.885468545.1457372258 page 2-13)
Don't start the board, just make sure that the power supply is connected and on.
Press the Flashback button for 3 seconds and wait until the led stops flashing (about a minute).
Every step above is important for a successful flashing process.
