I just finished this build , a very adequate Desktop. I loaded Win 7 Pro SPI 64bit with no problems. The problems started with Windows Update. Almost all updates load successfully, but Windows update continues to error on a few, but when I search for updates, it runs on and on...never finishes. I can shutdown and it will "configure" updates. So far I have had 4 updates fail, but the hanging on searching for updates leads me to believe there is another problem.I must have overlooked something, I appreciate any help . I have the updates and the error messages in a notepad file but here is the text :

with older os and updates...the issue is some updates have older updates built into them. you get a failed message when a newer update was installed before the older one. if windows update files are damaged or failed shows the same update failing over and over your best bet is clean up windows update folder. stop the windows update service then go into the folder holding all of the windows update files then deleting all of the files.
