Is it worth upgrading or should I just start a new build?

Simply put I currently have a Fx3600 with 8gigs of ram and a gtx750 ti. Im considering buying a gtx970, do you guys think it would be worth it or should do you think it would be more worth my time making a new rig.

Solution
I had a FX8320, and (still have) the GTX970. GTAV had a pretty huge boost. FPS don't drop anymore, and newer games will also have a pretty decent boost when upgrading from your CPU.

If you think you won't play a lot of CPU intensive games, why not. But I'm really looking forward for the new GPU generation, and if you save for a CPU, maybe even the kaby lake or something will also be released and you'll be on better time.

But if you think you can't live with the 750ti, upgrade, after all, the only time to upgrade is when YOU are unhappy with your system

You should see a serious increase in frames going to a GTX 970 from a 750ti.

With a little OC the FX-6300 will not hold you back much, if any. That said...

New 14-/16nm GPUs will be rolling out soon --- I would not be too quick to jump on a new video card. Prices will be tumbling over the next 60 days.

Thanks, putting it that way saving up sounds like a better idea.
