What you're looking for in a good mouse is good comfort, a great sensor and good buttons and usually everything is secondary. (iirc you don't need anything more than 3600 DPI)

Here are some of my picks

G303
FK1
EC2-A
Rival 300
G502
Are you sure you want one or the other of these? I had a R.A.T 9 a few years back and had odd problems w/ it from day one. Short battery life and a minute delay after swapping before cursor would move again. After a year or so, the tracking quit working going left and right consistently, as the weight of the mouse had wore off the mouse feet.

It has a 12000 DPI sensor along w/ programmable buttons. I mainly play FPS these days, along with RPGs. Here's a link. http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/g502-proteus-spectrum-rgb-gaming-mouse. I'd definitely at least consider it. For me, it's very comfortable during long sessions, and has excellent tracking. For the extra buttons, I really only use the "sniping" button in FPS games.
