Mobo: MSI H81M-P33 LGA 1150 Intel H81 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Power supply: CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified

The layout of the motherboard is diagrammed (hopefully accurately) here:

Manual for the power supply:

QUESTIONS:

1) The CPU power socket on the motherboard is 4 pins. The CPU power cable from the power supply is 8.

Reading the online manual, it says: "If your motherboard has a four-pin socket, detach the four-pin from the eight-pin cable, and then plug this four-pin cable directly to your motherboard."

So I just kinda split it in half? Really?

2) Where do all those PCI-E power plugs from the power supply go? Nowhere? My NVIDIA graphics card which will go in the PCI-E slot doesn't seem to have anywhere to plug in power.

3) Where do I plug the PC Speaker? JAUD2? I read some threads that sound like the PC Speaker that comes with my case has the wires in the wrong place (plugs 1 and 4) instead of 1 and 3. What happens then?

4) As far as I can tell, the motherboard has no place for USB 3.0 connectors. So what can I do about the 2 USB 3.0 ports at the top of my case?

Yes, those 8 pins are actually 4 + 4 so it should easily come apart

If your gpu doesn't have any 6 or 8 pin connectors on the side then no, the cables wont be used

The pc speaker gets plugged directly into the mb

How old is the board? If it's several years then there might not be usb 3.0 connectors. If you want to utilize those ports then you must a usb 3 to 2.0 adapter, note that they will perform as usb 2.0

good luck
