Hi fellow Toms lurkers.I have a frustrating PC problem, I just tried to install a 250gb WD server hdd and my cpu fan made this strange electronic fan spin noise. The noise disappeared when I uninstalled the hdd. The problem is that my pc now boots to bios and when I try to exit bios and go the desktop it goes to the Asus screen but then goes straight but to bios!. I also accidentally broke off some pins of the motherboard, I don't know what the port was for but it was next to a single sata port of a mini itx Asus mobo if that helps.
It boots to bios and repeats regardless of whether the hdd is in or not. I would to be able to use this drive but I will definitely settle for just being able to use my computer again!
