Hello friends,

I need help with choosing a budget GPU for 1440p gaming....My budget is max 420 euro's and I have found good deals at amazon UK with few r9 fury's, r9 390x( water cooled also), r9 nano's, gtx 970's and few gtx 980's that fall into my budget range....please suggest me a GPU that is in my budget range but will give me a good 1440p experience both quality wise and performance wise atleast close to 60fps if not higher??

Yep, the Fury is the right choice. Supposedly Nvidia's Pascal GPUs are going to be announced next week. You could wait until then to see pricing and how long it is going to be before they are available for purchase.

The 970 replacement will probably fall into your budget and depending on what kind of power increase it has over current models and how much VRAM they include it might end up being a great 1440p card.

It's also very possible that they will announce next week but cards won't actually be released for a while. In that case you might just want to grab a Fury while it's on sale.

Do not sweat it my friend. A regular R9 390 is the best bang for buck, as it outperforms the 970 and the 980 is rather poorly priced for what you get. And when you compare the 390 to the 390X, there is only a rather small 1-3 FPS difference. In games like GTA you should get at least 60 FPS on very high settings on 1440p. Hoped this helped.

The 390 is probably the best option, it will run high settings at that res and perform a few fps better than the 970 at that res. Only downsides are it runs hotter, uses more watts and in my opinion AMD are slightly slower at releasing updated drivers for the latest game releases but they get there after a few weeks.

yeah but I think I saw 1 or 2 r9 fury's for the cost of 398 euro's and there is going to be a sale on the pc hardware on amazon UK from 4th april and will last for about a week...So I was hoping that more r9 fury's and maybe gtx 980's will also come into my budget because of the sale....If the r9 fury come into my budget should I go with it or just get an r9 390??

I recently jumped from an r9 390 to a Fury no-x for 1440 gaming. Understand that the Fury is tough to OC, if you even plan to OC, and act accordingly. If you do OC, I suggest using Afterburner and take it easy. I picked mine up for $470 USD and have found it to be a great card for 1440p. The 390 is a great value, but the Fury is noticeably stronger and a great value when on sale as well.

If you can, definitely the R9 Fury. Very nice card for 1440p.
