i'm planning to build a new pc. i don't want to max out games but i want to play upcoming games in the next 5-6 years smoothly (at least 30 fps) at 1080p without any major upgrade. that is, i would upgrade my ram or hard disk if necessary but not the processor or the gpu.
and also bear in mind that i'm in india and the prices are damn high (for example, a gtx 970 costs ~330 usd in us but in india it costs at least 26,500 inr or 400 usd or a 6600k costs 240 usd in us but in india it costs 20,000 inr or 300 usd)
the things that i have currently in my mind
processor - skylake i5 or amd 8350 or sandy bridge or ivy bridge i7 (if i feel the i7's are cheap enough)
gpu - gtx 960 or r9 380 or gtx 970 (all 4gb versions)
ram - atleast 8gb (16gb if my budget permits)
motherboard - i don't really know ho to choose a motherboard. i think that it wouldn't affect my pc's performance and as i'm not going to upgrade i feel that i could choose the cheapest board that suits my processor. [correct me if i'm wrong]
i feel that it would preferable to buy older i7's or the 8350 considering the increased costs of the platform for skylake (costlier motherboard and ddr4 rams).
i also want to know whether ddr4 rams are significantly better than ddr3 rams when it comes to gaming.
