Hey guys my friend got given a old pc and he wants to know can it play any games and can it play the new ones please
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 clocked at 3.6ghz
Gigabyte P35-DS3 motherboard rev 2.0
8gb ddr2 ram
650 ti boost 2gb GDDR5 overclocked
1tb hard drive

If your friend could upgrade to core 2 quad q6600 then he/she can run pretty much all the modern games. However the performance will be hardly 20-30 fps. I strongly recommend to buy a core i3+h61/h81 mobo+ 8gb ddr3 ram (would cost around 175$ total). Keep the gpu for now.

You can get used core 2 quad cpus for very low price from ebay.

Just make sure the cpu you are going to buy is supported by the motherboard. And do bios upgrade before switching to new cpu.
