Hi, is the Asus Z97M-Plus a good Micro-ATX Board for the intel Core i5 4690K? Also, is it good for overclocking it? The CPU will be cooled by the Cooler Master Nepton 240M. I will want to overclock it to its maximum capability, but also being safe and not effecting the life span etc. I haven't overclocked with intel before, so I will need some help. Thanks

P.S - Are the VRM's on this board good enough for overclocking? Thanks

Well, considering you have the same setup, is it good for gaming, video editing and Photoshop. Plus workstation use. That's all I'm using it for. It will have the GTX 960 SSC installed.

Asus would be my choice. Also, simply having a "4+1" design doesn't mean it can't do a good job of overclocking, unless trying to push things to the limit. There are other factors.

4.4GHz should be perfectly stable with minimal effort for most people. I doubt more than 4.6GHz is possible, though for the real-world performance I'd just stick with a default overclocking profile to start with anyway and test that for stability for a while.

Keep in mind that 4.6GHz (max turbo) vs 4.4GHz is only going to give somwhere between 0% and 4% real-world gains depending on the program. In fact, if you tweak the multipliers for for FULL CORE usage and minimize CPU voltage you may find a sweet spot (say all four core usage at 4.2GHz) but I don't want to get carried away here.
