My specs:
EVGA Gtx 970 SC
16 GB DDR3 ram (Corsair Ballistix)
i5 4690k @ 3.5 Ghz
7200rpm HDD
I'm not sure when this happened, but when I tried to play GTA V, it takes a long time too load (longer than usual), and it runs at 1 fps. It freezes for about 2 seconds, then gives half a second of motion. This happens both online and offline. Also, when it stops lagging, there is a small buzz that occurs, that I think is coming from my GPU.
I currently have 2 versions of GTA installed on my HDD. One is through Steam, the other through the Rockstar launcher, respectively. Is it possible these two files are interfering with eachother? I uninstalled one of the saves, and redownloaded it, same problem.
At first I thought it wasn't using my GPU, but according to the EVGA gpu manager, it is being used. I tried updating drivers, rolling back the drivers, I tried using DDU, nothing worked. As far as I know, nothing is overclocked.
I recently enabled my integrated graphics in my CPU (4600) so that I could use 2 monitors, but I went and disabled it to see if that made a difference (It didn't).
I have absolutely no idea how to fix this, so any tip or solution helps.
Thanks!
