Hey guys,

I am having problems with my GPU. It is getting power clearly because the fan is running but the actual display won't turn on.

I'm having this problem with a AMD R9 Nitro 390.

I decided to try an older GPU an AMD ati radeon 4850 and its doing the same thing.

Any suggestions?

The motherboard is a EVGA SR-2.

Thanks,
Kevin

Still no luck going to look into the manual a little see if I am missing something

Still nothing. The only thing I've done since I last booted it was install the second CPU. I can't find any settings I need to change on the mobo theres a bios_sel switch with options 1 - 2 - 3 I can't really find anything about that in the manual

How do I update the BIOS if I can't get into the BIOS menu? There's no on board video

Yeah the r9 worked for a short time then I unplugged it all and put it in the case and had no video. Pulled it all back out of the case and back on the test bench now and still no video

So I went ahead and pulled out a brand new DVI Cable to eliminate that as an issue. I also swapped the monitor. I am still getting a 'no signal' on the monitor.

I can see the GPU fan spin so clearly it's getting power. But something with the BIOS isn't outputting data for the GPU.

Is there a way to reset it? Other than just clearing the CMOS
