core i3 is definitely good for gaming in the 100-120$ cpu category. However it...

No it won't run. Fx8320 is socket am3+ while your current mobo is socket fm2+. If you are spending on a fx8320 I guess you have a budget of 150$, you can buy a core i3 4th gen and a cheap h81 mobo for that price which will give you much better performance while consuming way less power. 4th gen core i3 has beaten fx8320 in many modern game performance.

No, the FX-8320 will not run on a FM2+ motherboard.
Moreover, for gaming, you would be a step back.
Yes, you get 4 more threads, but few games can use more than 2-3.
Then the single thread rating will be less(1396 vs. 1596) than your current cpu.
Unfortunately, there are no good cpu upgraded for the gamer with that motherboard, it is a dead end.

If you still want an upgrade for gaming it is time to buy intel of some sort. i3-6100 for example

Sorry, your CPU is on socket FM2+ while the FX-8320 is on socket AM3+. You will need a different motherboard in order to upgrade to the FX-8320.

I don't know what your budget is but having seen you're interested in getting the 8320, I'd try and adjust my recommendation to your choices:
This is the minimum I'd get for the 8320.

I'd recommend something like this if you can afford it:

The best motherboard you can get right now for the AMD platform is the Sabertooth 990FX, but that's only if you plan on keepng your systme for longer, adding more RAM and more GPUs.

Sorry but fm2+ cpus performance is very poor in front of intel's offerings. I would still suggest you to buy an intel i3

core i3 is definitely good for gaming in the 100-120$ cpu category. However it performs poor in rendering and multitasking. So if your are using your pc for multiple purposes other than gaming, here is a good amd alternative

Sadly, for AMD I'm going to chime in and agree with both previous posts in that:

1) Intel has far better performance (especially per watt at the moment).
2) AM3+ and FM2 are both dead end sets. There is no real upgrade path as AMD transitions to the Zen processors.

That being said, why do you say the AMD 860k is a bottleneck? In many games unless you're running a specifically CPU intensive game, almost all games are mostly GPU limited - as in the more powerful the GPU the better the frame rates up to a pretty high level. In many test sets I've seen, while the AMD chips are a few percent slower (by a few FPS maybe), they run fairly close to the Intel chips in an apples to apples comparison as long as you're using a quad-core AMD chip. Only when you hit the very low end (which is not what you have - yours is top of the stack) do you start to hit significant differences in FPS for gaming.

What might be more of a bottleneck is the 750ti you're running. The high end quad core AMDs are capable of driving mid range cards at acceptable rates as compared to most Intel parts, and high end cards at sufficient rates which are more than acceptable.

Heres a link to the review starting with the mid range parts:

Well, the AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core looks decent in gaming with 750ti benchmarks in GTA 5 (HIGH sett) = 60fps
And its good for rendering videos :) And its in my budget. So do i need to know anything more or is this do-able?

You can add a good budget friendly cpu cooler like deepcool gammaxx 400 (not necessary, but the amd's bundled cooler is a little noisy). And make sure you are buying both fx 6300 and the mentioned motherboard since fx6300 is not compatible with your current mobo.
