HI people. Im building a new gaming system. Im planning to game in a 900p (1600x900) monitor and i have a big doubt.
Both systems cost the same.
Option 1: (GPU oriented)
i5 4460 paired with gtx 970 FTW. Ddr 3 motherboard.
Option 2: (CPU oriented)
i5 6500 paired with r9 380 Nitro OC. Ddr 4 motherboard.
Which option do you consider is the best? I find that playing in 900p would be a lot with the gtx 970 and maybe i can use a worse GPU and upgrade the CPU, because titles like Skyrim and GTA V gives around 10-15 fps more with the skylake build because they are very CPU demanding.
Note: Skylake rig would be easier to upgrade in a 2 years by only changing video card. Haswell rig would be more expensive to upgrade because of DDR 3
