Hello, I have started to over-clock my computer. The maximum i could reach without any crashes using prime95 and only changing the multiplier nothing else is 3.8 ghz. When i reach to 3.9 (without changing anything) how comes my computer just reboots after 20 minutes in prim95? Do I need to change something? It could not be my CPU temperature as that is around 50 degrees with prime95 on. turbo boost is off by the way. And the question i really want answered is that if you fail a bad overclock does that mean your system is just "broken" like it will never turn back on or could you go back to bios and set everything to default again. I am really scared that my computer would never turn on again when i overclock.

System specs:
AMD FX 6300 Black edition
gigabyte GA78LMT-USB3
G.SKILL Ripjaws 2.4 8gb ram 1600mhz
EVGA 500w 80+ power supply

Solution
The motherboard you have is not made to overclock it's a budget board and I would not try overclocking with it.
You can always remove the battery and reset CMOS to the original settings unless you fry something.
