upgarded to Samsung 4K TV and having 5.1 surround sound issues (only compressed audio with caveats works)... Windows 10

So i just got my shiny new Samsung UN55JU7500 4K TV and I am having some issues with 5.1 surround sound mainly only compressed audio seems to work. Now things were working fine with my old Samsung UN55ES6500 HDTV but I had things wired differently because my receiver can use HDMI 1.4 which wasn't a problem with 1080P @ 60Hz. I just ran my HDMI from my GPU though it. Now I need to run HDMI 2.0 i have to work around my receiver's HDMI pass-through. So I ran a HDMI 2.0 cable from my top GTX 980 (have 2 ;) ) like i should to the TV. Then I have tried both running an optical audio from my Asus Rampage IV output to my receiver as well as running from the UN55JU7500 optical audio out to my receiver. When I go to configure my audio playback devices It shows both setups (PC to receiver using realteks audio chip on-board my motherboard and TV to receiver using nvidia's GPU's on-board audio) as only being stereo.

I have tested both setups as well as I could. PC to receiver I can test in playback devices easily enough. I go to properties for the realtek audio chip I can test compressed DTS and Dolby Digital under the supported format tab and I do indeed get all 5 channels chiming off though it insists its only a stereo set up when checking advanced tab and default format. Only two channel audio choices are available there with 44-192hz and 16-24 bitrates. I can't test them for the HDMI to TV to receiver in playback devices for DTS and Dolby digital under properties as the tab is different and lacking options the realtek chip has though it insists i have support for both though with less fidelity choices 44hz and 48 hz only with 16 and 24bit rates.

So I ran some games and found it sounds like i am getting compressed 5.1 sound. Same when running Netflix and playing my video library. Thing is compressed audio is not my first choice for all formats especially gaming. I prefer to have the option of using uncompressed audio since i have a nice Klipsch speaker setup. So my questions are is there a fix I am missing (reloaded drivers uninstalled audio devices and all that already)...Or am I just being overly picky here and just wait tell i can afford a new receiver with HDMI 2.0. Please let me know what you think or would try next! Thx so much for reading my thread.

yeah that was a worry of mine. I really want to avoid dropping for a new receiver in the next year or two so I am hoping for some more ideas. I might try using my analog outputs on my motherboard and convert them to RCA jacks. Would that work for uncompressed audio?
