Today after two months of running completely fine my computer now will not boot red light for cpu only. Fans run perfectly no issues, connector is put into place, tried swapping psu and also tried different cpu from my other computer still no luck spec from original computer:
Asus MD5a99fx pro R2.0 rev1.01
Memory: 4x4gb
CPU: AMD 8350 FX black
Corsair 600 power supply
Graphics: Nividia 970 4gig
What I have tried:
swapping out power supply to corsair 700
swapping out cpu amd 8350 fx black with same processor from different computer and tested it on said computer without an issue.
reset rtc both just with jumper pins and also with removing battery and jumpers
any other idea's?
As an update we have taken it out of the case and think we may have found a possible issue. Without any fans or heatsync connected to the cpu the cpu does not generate heat. It seems like this maybe a short circut in the board itself in between the power supply and the cpu plug. going to try using the power cable from current running computer with the one giving problems to rule out faulty cable.
