I work in the desert field as an engineering, and the distance between my office and accommodation is approximately 160 m (520 ft) and I planned to broadcast the internet wirelessly from the office to the accommodation to use the internet freely with my co-workers (up to 15), so I purchased a TP-Link WA7210N outdoor access point to do the job.
At first, I installed it normally as an access point from my internet source at the office (lower area) to broadcast the Wi-Fi signal to my accommodation (higher area), but unfortunately the signal that appears on devices around my room was about 50% and the moment I enter my room it goes to 20% which is insufficient even for my normal internet usage.
So, I changed the plan
I used an old router (D-link) with dual antenna to start the broadcast from the office and then I installed the TP-Link Access point as a repeater around my accommodation to receive the output signal from the D-link router (41 db) and then repeats it again to us, and here is the point, the job was done easily and 100% worked.
But, when we connected our devices (smart phones and laptops) to the access point, after a while the internet service has stopped, it used to be like a full signal with connected status and good internet speed as well (with internet access) and then, it turns into Disconnected, Authenticating, Obtaining IP, Failed to obtain IP and finally, Not enabled!! So the TP-Link kicks us a way!!
That means, the signal from the D-link router (the source) is OK with no problems (I tried to connect my devices directly and it was working 100%) and the TP-Link access point (the repeater) receives signal strongly and repeats it with no problems, finally I and my co-workers connect our devices successfully to the access point and enjoy the internet already with a fair speed for a while but later on, we found ourselves disconnected for unknown reason! Maybe it could be a matter of the number of connected devices (approximately 15) or something related to the number of the available IPs!! I really don’t know.

· The total distance between the office and the accommodation is 160 m, 120 m with a free space without any obstacles, 40 m with cabinets 2.8 m height
· I used the max power of the TP-Link access point in my first scenario to gain as much as I can of coverage distance but in vain, because the result was fair just outside the room
