Sorry if I put this in the wrong Category. (New to the website). I'm building a new pc for the first time and i'm wondering if I need a AC/DC Adapter that goes to my power surger.

A retail power supply unit comes with an AC cable. You sound like you have not researched the power supply much. You will need to read this http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-power-supplies/

It will take 15-20 minutes and you will understand what a power supply is, and why it is important.
