monitor flashes to black, sometimes doesent turn back on

Hi there, recently ive been having this issue while playing CS:GO, my computer monitor flashes to black and i hear a loop of the last thing i saw in game before it flashed. sometimes after 5 or 6 seconds the monitor will return to the game and other times it says no signal like my monitor is unplugged. at this point i am forced to reboot the computer and rejoin only to have this happen over and over again. i did notice that it happened alot more frequently whenever i would walk near a smoke grenade. however recently ive noticed this screen flash to black just surfing the web and when it comes back it says nvidia driver has crashed and recovered. before all of this happened i used evga's precision x to monitor my video card and its temperatures. now it doesent even detect a video card its just blank. personally i think my power supply is dying as the video card is only about 2 months old and wasnt DOA. ive also reinstalled the drivers and earlier versions to boot. here are my specs corsair cx 500 watt
geforce gt 960 8gb ram i5 4460 can anyone offer some insight?

It's probably the GPU, but just in case you could try another cable and see if that works. Is you PC too dusty? You can buy some compressed air very cheap off Amazon. The temperatures may be the main problem. Instead of posting this problem on a forum, I would go into direct contact with nVidia, and you should be able to send the card back for repairs, and, in some cases, receive an entirely new card if they are unable to repair the old one. Also, do you have more than one monitor?, because that also may be the problem. I have experienced the same sort of thing in the past. I would definitely go about cleaning out your PC of dust if you haven't done in the past few months. You should probably do it a minimum of twice a year.

thanks for your help, however my pc is not dusty at all. i just cleaned it 2 months ago around the same time i bought the new video card. and i dont have dual monitors atm. oh also, i noticed that when i power on my pc sometimes only the motherboard gets power and the rear exhaust/cpu fans dont spin until i move the 16 pin a certain way similiar to how a phone charger doesent charge unless its bent a certain way due to wear and tear of the wiring.
