replacing motherboard issues

So I may have gotten the wrong idea when replacing my motherboard. Once I rebuilt my PC with the new motherboard, I assumed everything would be fine, I then remembered that I would need the new motherboard drivers and so I started trying to install them, however every driver gets to either 97% or 99% and then stops completely. Is there something I am missing?

I went from an Asus Z87 to an MSI Z97 as my Asus was faulty.

Thanks in advance!

Changing motherboards often requires a fresh installation of Windows. If you've tried removing your current ASUS drivers and are still not having luck installing the new MSI drivers, I'd probably start looking at that fresh install.

Thank you for the response, I had not tried removing my old drivers, what would be the best way of doing this? I have tried looking in device manager and I think I have found the correct driver for intel chipset etc, is this the best way to go?

Some people have been recommending a program named DDU and they say it works well, but I've never used it. Personally, I'd just go into device manager, and remove the drivers that way (having the latest drivers available for reinstall before hand).

Sorry for the amount of questions, but it has been doing this for the past 15 minutes, is this normal?

Due to a previous problem, one that I thought was to do with the motherboard is now occurring again, so I am unable to work on it today, but thank you for all of the help, I will mark your previous post as a solution :)
