GPU fan replacement connector doesn't fit stock. (pics)

Hello, I ordered a pair of 85mm replacement fans because the one of the stock 90mm on my XFX R9 270x were broken.

I was hoping that I would be able to replace one of the fans, since the broken fan is not the "controller fan" but the "extension" one with 3 pins/.

Can I swap these two connector heads and make it work somehow?

well yeah you'll probably be fine splicing the new head on as long as you make sure you match up the pins. however, my bigger concern is how you're going to mount the fan?

Thanks :)

The frame for these 85mm is the same as the 90mm one. I had already screwed it in when I realized the connectors were not the same...
