I recently upgrade my CPU from AMD Sempron 140 to Phenom II X6. Before upgrading I already had a Nvidia 8800 GT GPU and a 450w power supply. After I upgraded when I switched the PC on the after some time the screen of the monitor would go completely black, even thought the PC would continue to work per se. I removed the GPU and plugged my monitor to the integrated GPU of the motherboard which is an ASROCK N68-S and since than it did not show any problem. I want to replug the Nvidia GPU, and I think the problem is the power supply, so I'm gonna change it. I went to a store and saw this:

(if it doesn't show the picture it says SMART power supply, moddel NO.: 700W-P4, AC Input: 180-264V voltage; 10A current; 47-63Hz frequency.)

My question is: do you think it will work for my system? If not can you recommend something with a budged of $45?

Thank you

Every single one of them is garbage.

I realize this may cost you more or delay your build. But it will cost you quite a bit more if a bad PSU damages your equipment, or at a minimum it will be annoying when your build doesn't work right. You're seeing it already with the bad power supply you have now.

You could buy one of these now and yeah maybe it will work ok for a short time, but you will inevitably have the same issues, and then you will have to buy another, why not save a few dollars in the future and buy the right thing now?

You think a 550w power supply can solve my problem? It's not only the price, it's also the fact that I'm building my (not the most cutting edge) gaming PC from some years now and on all this time I haven't been able to play a decent game because I never had all the components at the same time, and now I'm that to close to achieve it, so I'm really thing to go for the one on my picture. You really think i shouldn't? When you say fire hazard you mean it will overheat a lot? Or can make some electrical defect in the power supply and it's cables? You think it will harm some of my other components of the PC?

Thank you

That Power supply is, in a word, junk. It can potentially damage your components, it will not put out its rated wattage, and it could literally cause a fire in your home.

The one I suggested is worlds better.

Were I'm from every $ counts. In order to make the money to buy the power supply you suggested I have to wait 1 month or maybe even two more. I know the power supply you suggested is the best price-quality on the market but I just can't afford it.

I'm forced to chose one of the following power supplies. Which of this below is the best of them 5?
