Can I put at GTX 750 Ti 4GB GPU in a PC with a AMD Athlon II X2 235e?

Will a bottleneck damage my computer?

I'm aware that that card is way more powerful than I need for this PC, but I'm building one at the moment and would like to use it in my current PC while I wait to get all the parts.

I have a 300w Power Supply with no PCI-E Cable. The GTX 750 Ti 4GB doesn't use PCI-E, but I was still wondering if I could use it until I can fully upgrade a brand new PC.

I just put a 700W Rocketfish 80+ Bronze PSU in there and picked up a EVGA GTX 570 HD on Craigslist. Hopefully I can upgrade my CPU to a Phenom II X4 955, but I'm not sure how to see if I can even get the old CPU out. Gonna wait for a PCI-E cable from OutletPC and see if I can't do what I need with just the 570.
