Gigabyte 970A-DS3P with FX 8320

Hello! This motherboard work fine with fx8320 cpu ? I read on some forums that the motherboard it's too weak for this cpu ,others got problems freezing windows and crash in games with this cpu-motherboard combo ?Also the ddr 1600mhz it's showing like 1333mhz ,should i choose an fx 6300 cpu ,i heard it work better with this motherboard.

I personally wouldn't bang an 8 core processor with a 125w TDP on a motherboard with a 4+1 power phase, mainly because I personally like a bit of headroom saying that, it is on the CPU support list and will work. Did these people with problems overclock?

You should also be able to set your memory up in the BIOS. It has been a long time since I use Gigabyte's BIOS though, so I can't help with that unfortunately.

The motherboard/CPU combo is fine though

Oh, and there's also the 95w FX 8320e.

Hello!I want to thank you for answer .About problems ,these guy said they never overclock their cpu, some said when activated XMP -1600 in bios they recieve blue screen (he said he bought other ddr kit with 1.5V and the problem was solved ),others said that the NB become very hot >70C* ,in some games like path of exile,torchlight,witcher 3 when the cpu is stressed it's freezing or crashing.A guy want to sell that kit (on a forum)and i wanted to buy it (around 175$+8gb ddr3@1600 kinston hyperx blue) but i changed my mind ,since i don't have a great budget my plan was to change first the old cpu(phenom 9950) with that and add a r9 380x video card in future.
