i bought a msi gtx 960 oc 4gb and it worked for a few days and then every time i launched a game my computer froze. i put my old graphics card in (asus r9 270 oc 2gb) and everything was fine and my Nvida drivers were up to date.

these are my pc specs and they met the requirements for the gtx 960

amd a6 7400k 3.9GHz 6 core

500w powersuply

500gb wd blue hdd

Samsung 500gb ssd

x2 4gb hyperx ram stick

i dont know the problem i research many things and could not find anything and i took apart my computer to make sure there were not any loose connections. i am wondering if getting a r9 380 4gb will be better.

if you currently have win 10 64bit, download it and go to custom installation and tick the CLEAN installation box then install. There will be a version for older OS so you will be able to find yours. Just look for 353.62. If that doesnt work, you may have an issue with something else.

Sorry it was a bad pool header bsod Windows 10 64 bit. I don't know what is causing it but when I looked up the bsod on bluescreenviewer, it said ntoskrnl.exe was the cause. I have tested my ram and it passed so I'm lost...

Interestingly though, it simply decides whenever I can log in or not. Happens frequently on startup then goes away then comes back...
