Hi I'm new here, I'm having a bit of trouble.

I recently purchased a new Asus motherboard and a Sapphire Radeon GHz Edition 3gb and the motherboard requires 1 8 pin connector and the graphics card requires 2 8 pin connectors.

My 750w power supply has 1 8 pin connector, 1 6+2 connector and I have a converter to make another 8 pin so I managed to plug everything in okay.

It boots up fine, installed drivers no problem but when I open a game as soon as you enter gameplay the pc just turns off instantly, like on Witcher 3 I see Geralt on the horse for half a second and it shuts down.

After doing research I think it's down to the power supply, I was just wondering if anyone can recommend the cheapest power supply available that will be able run the graphics card.

I've already spent my budget as I didn't expect to need a new psu so I was just looking for the cheapest one possible that will run my graphics card and amd fx 8350, any recommendations?

I usually buy my stuff online in UK (where I live)

I found this EVGA Supernova PSU for £62, it's got enough 8-pin connectors for your purposes. You should be fine with a 550W PSU.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-Supernova-Modular-Power-Supply/dp/B00V5B76LE/

Edit: I should add that it's a Tier 1 Gold PSU, so it's pretty good value compared to everything else in that price range.

So I think I've narrowed it down but I just want to double check with people that they would be powerful enough

Corsair CS650M or Cooler Master G650M hybrid modular

Would either of these work with an 8 pin mobo and the 7970 HD?

Edit: Thanks Hyboria, if neither of these are compatible I think I'll settle for that one.

It should be Tier 2 IMO. Voltage regulation is not too good on it, and ripple isn't quite Tier 1-worthy,
