I have a SATA DVD drive from a desktop and a SATA to usb converter. The drive shows up as a mass storage device in my device manager but doesn't work otherwise and shows an error reading: "The last USB device you connected to this somputer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognise it." Is there a driver that I might be missing or would this most likely be a hardware error.
