Hi

I pretty much want to change my IP address because I want to visit and log into a particular website where they have sophisticated detection system, their policies do not like one person to get two accounts.

I'd like to know how to change my IP.
Should I contact my ISP provider or try to change the MAC address??
I am not sure if my ISP is providing static or dynamic IP address.

If you are on DSL, you can reboot your modem / router, in most cases this will give you a new address.
On cable - depends.

You can always contact your ISP, but if you ask for that five times a week...

And that web site - I doubt they track you by IP address only. In a house, or a company, there could be tens or thousands of people who will access this web site with same IP address.

Your MAC address has nothing to do with your IP address, mostly.

Your public IP address, either static or dynamic, is given to you by your ISP. You cannot influence what IP address you get.
And, even if you could, you would still only have one login to that site. You can't change back and forth randomly.

Bottom line - abide by the rues of that site, and live with the restriction of 1 login.

Hello... As a "simple test" I would create an account from a "public location" and try to access the Account from your "Typical location"... and test the New account and their "sophisticated detection system" Typically banking can be done from Multi PC/remote locations without IP problems... But as suggested above... every site will have their rules and procedures to keep their site up and from any security problems.
