Hello Guys, currently this is what I am aiming for

CPU: Intel Core i3-4170 3.70GHz (Dual Core) Haswell Refresh Processor - P 5350 (or $116)
MoBo: ASRock H97M Anniversary P 3750 (or $81)
RAM: Gskill RipjawsX 8GB Dual 1600 CL9 (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL) - P 2100 (or $45)
PSU: Seasonic S12II 520W 80PLUS Bronze - P 2600 (or $56)

I will salvage my old 500 GB Seagate Barracuda

I was thinking what GPU i should get (no AMD, only Nvidia, less power consumption)

Either I go with
MSI GTX 960 Twin Frozr Gaming 2GB 128Bit DDR5 P 10900 (or $236)
or
Palit GTX 960 Jetstream 2GB 128 Bit P 9790 (or $212)

I saw here that GTX 960 4GB is a gimmick and should not be bought because 128 bit can't get 2.5GB up VRAM which makes the 4GB useless..is that true?

Anyways, the Palit GTX 960 Jetstream 4GB 128 bit is P 10850 (or $ 235, yes $1 cheaper than MSI GTX 960 2GB)

So any thoughts what GTX 960 should i buy and what are the factors that makes it great?

Should I consider Asus here? They said Asus GTX 960 (or any other Asus gtx) has cheap fans and.or heatsink.
Asus GTX 960 Strix P 10500 (or $228)

Hopefully this is what i strive for:
Performance comes first, Quality comes second, Silent, Budget then Aesthetic

I'll buy which performs best but also with quality. I don't want it to break in less than a year or so.

Solution
Let me ask you this:

Is 2.5GB more than 2?
Is $235 less than $236?

Sidenote: I don't have any problem with my ASUS gtx card. I had a MSI card that fried, but that wasn't the card's fault.

wow..hahaha... well, to be fair, I was not sure about 2.5 maybe 2.2 or any other less... but still higher than 2 GB I guess. Stupid me huh? :D I guess it's common sense that 235 is less than 236 :)) but to be fair, i just want a great performing gtx 960 with good quality ( I don't care about the little noises)

MSi fried? then what caused it? and btw you look fabulous in that pic.. no homo here

go for r9 380 its better, if you can go for the r9 380x + 10% increase in preformance. I reccomend the asus card for the r9 380x, trust me I've used both the r9 380/380x was much more worth it. If you don't beliee me look at the benchmarks yourself.

My MSI 970 4G card was fried at my friends house during a LAN party, when his faulty wiring arc'd. I I looked at my pc when I saw the sparks at the wall, and saw a blue flame shoot out the back of my card. I thought my whole PC died, but it only affected the gpu. He lost everything connected to his HDMI hub, a Sony projector, a Yamaha amplifier, a PS4. I was pissed, but it was hard to be mad at him in the face of his $5k loss. I decided friendship was worth more than $300, and went and bought a new card.

It's more expensive, but i like the idea of getting Sapphire r9 380 dual-X OC 4GB 258 bit...but i saw reviews bout it bieng bad..same with AMD drivers...so might as well not go for it...

plus if i go with amd with the r9 380 its more expensive and i have to upgrade my psu..but still prone to have driver problems with AMD..that scares me coz im just a student and i dont really have many cash with me...it's my parents money
