My First Build Isn't What I Thought! Any Suggestions?

Solution

get an ssd for slow os. I've found the playing games off the same drive as the os will slow down performance as well.

Yea it was a budget. I hit good on some game like I mentioned. But is there anything out there that keeps me in budget but can give me an upgrade. Im not a hardcore gamer so do not want to go all out, but I feel as if my OS is slow sometimes.

Your machine really depends on what you spend on it. It's just like buying a cell phone. You could get that free upgrade to some unknown brand Android phone or you could spend $200 for the Galaxy S series phone. A bump in your CPU as well as better RAM would serve the purposes to speed up your OS as well as an SSD for your boot drive. That HDD is very outdated. I understand saving money is great, but putting together a PC under $1000 and expecting world class performance is not logical.
