The TC 8305C is a combined router/modem whereas the Nighthawk R7000 is just a router, so they are not interchangeable.
To use the Nighthawk you would also need to connect a modem to it, which means you'll have two separate devices instead of the existing one.
Ideally you need a combo router/modem like your existing one as it simplifies setup & connectivity.
